My favorite subject in school was physical education. No, like seriously, gym class was my absolute favorite. I was an athlete all day, every day, growing up. I’d leave school, go home, finish homework, and go straight to soccer practice. I was just an athletic girl. Gym classes in elementary, middle school, junior high, and high school differed in many ways (obviously) because of getting older and growing up. Each year, you were introduced to different activities, because as we got older, our bodies had different capabilities. Because I was athletic and loved all things sports and physical activity, gym was my safe haven at school. I am also very competitive, so it was a good opportunity for some competition. I’d say more electives were my favorite part of school, like chorus and gym, because they were the places I felt safe and could let loose of bullying, drama, school, everything. It also helped me find my God-given talents, and allowed me to pursue activities that I loved, and made me feel safe.
If I had to choose a school subject, I would choose science. Science is incredible because it is constantly changing. Science is simply fascinating. I loved doing hands-on experiments. I took all the honors science classes and AP biology in high school. If I wasn’t going to school for Digital Media Journalism (which I wouldn’t change for anything in the world), I’d be studying biology. The story’s moral is that I am a complete science nerd, but I love communication and digital media much more!
