“Disappear. Come back better.”
Wow! It has been a long time since I logged back onto my blog.
So much has happened, and I want to update you readers on what’s going on in my life.
As you may remember, I graduated early back in December (2023). Well, so much has happened since then… and for the better. It took me a long time to realize that God has a plan for you. You have to give it to the Lord and let it happen… and I did.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Jeremiah 29:11
While on Thanksgiving break, I started applying for many jobs as graduation was quickly approaching. I applied to jobs in many places to get my resume and applications out there.
MY GOAL: Get a job out of college and NOT move back home.
Well, it turns out I heard back from many, and this might surprise you (as much as it did for me), but after college, I packed up my stuff and moved to Kansas. Yes, KANSAS, you heard me right. I know what you are thinking: “CRAZY.”
This was a time in my life when I continuously told myself that everything happens for a reason. God has my back, and He knows what He is doing, even though everyone in my family and at my grad party thought I was crazy, lol.
If moving to Kansas wasn’t crazy enough, I accepted a position to become a Multimedia Journalist (reporter) for a news station in Kansas, and it doesn’t stop there.
Everyone who knows me knows I always wanted to be a news anchor. That was 100% my end goal. Pay your dues, learn a lot, and work your way up.
I started my job in early February and got told in my first few days that I would need to fill the weekend morning anchor position.
Let me tell you how excited I was to receive this opportunity. I was over the moon excited; these words are 100% an understatement.
Well, training began, and suddenly, I was the weekend morning anchor (I still am, loving every minute).

Before anchoring here, I had done some work in college, but nothing compared to the real world. Thus far I have learned so much and only hope to continue to grow. I am enjoying life and living it to the fullest. It also is a testament to the stereotypical, “You can do anything if you put your mind to it.”
Anyway, I’m going to do a full 360 here and go back to the scripture. The future can be scary, and graduating college with no plans at first was completely horrifying. The idea of being an actual ‘adult’ had me freaking out.
However, if you were to ask me two years ago what the heck I thought I would be doing, it definitely would not be living in Kansas to follow my dreams.
The Lord works in mysterious ways, and even though the ‘unknown future’ may terrify you, trust in the Lord because he has a plan for you. It’s hard not to be in control, but when you give it to the Lord, everything falls into place, the way it should be.
That that is my little update, and I am so glad to be back. This time, I won’t disappear.
I am so glad to be back.
Thanks for reading, I notice you and appreciate you! 🙂
