I am a huge advocate for self-care. It is something I look forward to. Self-care is how I regain my power and reset after a wild week. Today is my designated self-care day. #SundayFunday!
In college, I learned that “me” time is not selfish and that putting myself first is okay. Now that I am out of college, I wish I had more time to set aside for self-care.
Self-care is a huge part of my weekly routine. With my job and schedule, it is crucial that I find time to take care of myself.
I would say what I do for self-care varies every week. I try and listen to what my body needs or what my mental state is like.
I enjoy sitting down and reading a book with a glass of wine. Sometimes, my self-care involves a longer nap or extended face care (using face masks). However, sometimes you can’t beat a bubble bath and body/face care.
Writing on my blog or journaling is relaxing and allows me to get my wheels turning. Self-care is anything I can do to work on myself or just get some peace and quiet—to put myself first.
