My life is full of writing and all different kinds of writing.
I love writing for my blog because it allows me to express my thoughts and feelings in a safe space. I want my writing to encourage and inspire other writers.
As for my job as a journalist, I constantly write scripts for broadcast and web articles. I love what I do and care about the viewers. My job is to get the information across in the best way possible for them to understand. I love that news writing is unbiased. You just get the facts out there for people to know. I love the idea that our stories educate and inform viewers. It’s also encouraging to know that people read my stories and that my voice is being heard.
Writing means a lot to me, because it gives me a chance to be heard. I want to be a journalist who makes a difference.
It is our job to be unbiased in news, which is great for getting transparent and factual stories out there. My blog is the place where I can come write what I want and how I feel—to a certain extent. I love that I can have a professional writing side as well as a safe space to speak freely.
Act as if what you do makes a difference. IT DOES.
William James
Journaling is also a place where I dig into the deep stuff. Reflecting in my journal is how I compartmentalize the challenging parts of my job and the rollercoaster we call life. The best part is that no one reads my journal except me. That is my time of prayer, reflection, and healing. Sometimes, you have to take a break from reality and put yourself first. The world and life are tough, but it’s healthy to have a place where you can vent and get all the emotions out on paper to grow.
